hey there! anyone who recognizes me from the murdergame circuit probably knows me for playing cute, rambunctious pink girls with lots of energy and good cheer! s...o...... uh, sorry about clarisse. this is the only smile icon i will ever have of her and it's so murderous

yeah so this is clarisse and her emotional spectrum ranges from "snarky" to "sadistic" wherein the latter includes actively homicidal! hooraaay... she was groomed to be an assassin by the world's worst nun at the shittiest orphanage on earth! she's very good at killing things! and nothing else. she has absolutely zero idea how to handle people being nice to her, just, at all, even though she secretly longs for family, and her reactions about that range from tsun to, again, actively homicidal.

i've got an opt-out post for two reasons! primarily that her story involves familial abuse, her having been groomed by her mother figure and her emotionally abusing her sister figure in turn. the other less pertinent thing is spoilers, but honestly unless you're actively playing the game the clarisse spoiler is not a significant deal.. she's a midboss from a branch unrelated to the main plot in a jrpg. i wouldn't worry about it.

clarisse kind of has siblings on a technicality where they were all raised in the orphanage together but she slaughtered almost all of them on shit nun's orders when they stopped being useful without hesitation
